Overview

Explore our nation’s capital during this 14 day steps challenge! Submit daily steps via text message to earn your change to win a Fitbit Versa or $75 Visa gift card!!! To participate, just text us the number of steps you’ve taken each day with a hashtag (example: #8,500) and with a photo of your wearable device screen (pedometer, fitbit, garmin, etc.) or a screenshot of your preferred pedometer app.

Drawing Entry Guidelines:

• Highest steps submitted wins a Fitbit Versa!
• Submit steps 12 of the 14 days to be entered to win a $75 Visa gift card (there’s 3 to win!)
• Monument Climber bonus: earn 1 additional entry by taking 36,600 steps!
• Detour Seer bonus: earn 2 additional entries by taking 41,600 steps!
• DC Expert bonus: earn 3 additional entries for 51,600 steps!

The Course

Registration

Submission Rules:

• Participants may make up to 7 submissions per week. If a day is forgotten, participants can submit steps in the next 24 hours in the same text-based format.
• Submissions must have the hashtag and number of steps ONLY. Example: #8500. Please do not text additional text.
• MMS (“Text”) Messaging: Submissions may be sent to local number 616-303-4070 using the participant’s cell phone from which they registered. Please note standard usage rates may apply.

Management, Privacy and Liability:

• Management: This event is organized by Edify North in close partnership with Wellness Team at UM Wireless.
• Privacy: Photos are used to promote the event, but your privacy is to be sincerely respected.
• Thumbs Down Rule: Images which visibly depict a hand displaying the “thumbs down” shall not be used for promotion of the event.
• Liability: Participating in this event is your choice. In doing so, you release the Management and agree to them being harmless.
